Happy New Year! Our 2015 Officers and Board members are listed above. THANK YOU: Larry & Carol Birch for the coffee donation, Gail White for chairing The Thanksgiving Basket Project, Carol Maas & Barb Harrington for helping pack the food for 24 families, and the members and community for their generous donations of food and money. Thanks to Sandie Mann for her years of service as our President and Mike Green for his years of service as our Vice President.
DUES ARE DUE. They are $20 per person. Thank you to the members who have already paid them for 2015. There are no breakfasts in Jan., Feb., & March so mailing them to the PO Box above would be best. Thank you in advance for supporting our club. The calendar in this newsletter is incomplete because of the renovations and is subject to change as we complete them.
Once again I would like to remind members of OUR MISSION: Our club was formed for the promotion and personal welfare of the area and to assist persons in need, due to illness or catastrophe. Our 2015 donations will be: Three $500 College Scholarships, one each to Farwell, Marion, and Harrison Schools; Lincoln Twp. Senior Center; COLT (children of Lincoln Twp.): Thanksgiving Baskets (we fed 24 families in 2014); and Redding Twp. Children’s Activity Fund. We could not give these donations without the support of our members and community who attend our breakfasts and dinners. Thanks to everyone.
Winter Euchre begins Tues., Jan. 6 and goes through April 28. Doors open at 6 with cards starting at 7. Winter Euchre is now open to The Public, so bring your friends and neighbors. You are welcome to bring a snack to share at the break if you wish.
The Building Renovation Update: A Renovation Committee has been formed to deal with the desired repairs and renovations. This committee consists of: Mike
Green, Tom Krchmar, Gary Maas, Sandie Mann, J.R. Ringley, and Gail White.
The committee has met several times and plans are being submitted for engineering approval. Plans include a larger kitchen, improved handicap
accessible bathrooms, energy efficient windows, new siding, and upgrade in
the electrical system. Tom will serve as project coordinator and bids will
be accepted for various roles involved. Construction has to wait until spring.
Once the frost is out of the ground, footings can be dug and the project will commence. We will be looking for capable volunteers for some phases, so
please consider how you can help.
